NXT Women’s Title Match Set For NXT Stand & Deliver
Roxanne Perez will challenge for the gold at NXT Stand & Deliver.
Former NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez previously took reigning champion Lyra Valkyria out with a vicious attack and seemingly injured her arm in the process, as Valkyria was taken away in an ambulance. Since then, Perez has been telling NXT General Manager Ava to give her back the title she never lost.
On the March 19 episode of WWE NXT, Perez defeated Tatum Paxley in a singles match. After the bell, Valyria came out, and her arm was in a sling. She took the fight to Perez, but “The Prodigy” gained the upper and honed in on Valkyria’s arm.
Valkyria was then shown in the trainer’s room backstage. The trainer noted that Valkyria was cleared, and the champion told Ava that she wanted to face Perez at NXT Stand & Deliver. Ava then agreed to book the match.
Valkyria previously defended the title against Perez at NXT Vengeance Day. There, Lola Vice cashed in the title shot she earned by winning Women’s Breakout Tournament. As a result, the match became a three-way, and Valkyria pinned Vice for the win.
WrestleZone will have coverage of NXT Stand & Deliver as it airs on April 6.
