NYC Mayor Eric Adams Easter Egg Spotted In The Notorious B.I.G.’s “Juicy” Music Video
Eric Adams’ connections to Hip-Hop and its stars continues to be a hot topic, as New York City’s mayor previously made an unintended cameo in a Biggie Smalls music video thirty years ago.
A social media post pointing out a Eric Adams campaign poster in the visual to The Notorious B.I.G.’s 1994 single, “Juicy,” recently resurfaced amid the federal probe into Adams’ 2020 election campaign.
The post, made by New York Times reporter Jesse Drucker on X, formerly Twitter, shows a screenshot from the video, in which a portion of a poster bearing Adams’ face can be seen on a pedestrian traffic signal pole.
The screenshot, taken from the 1:38 timestamp of the music video, features the poster of Adams with a thick head of hair and a mustache. The poster, which was in promotion of Adams’ bid for a Congressional seat in New York’s 11th district, is plastered on the traffic signal pole, which a muscular man performs pullups on during the scene.
Adams ultimately came up short in that particular campaign, losing out to incumbent Major Owens after failing to receive enough valid signatures to officially make the ballot.

Adams’ poster sighting in the “Juicy” music video garnered even more significance given the mayor’s association with Sean “Diddy” Combs, the founder of Bad Boy Records, the label which The Notorious B.I.G. was signed to and “Juicy” was released on at the time.
In 2023, Adams awarded Combs with a key to New York City, a move that’s proven to be ironic given their respective legal issues with the federal government.
Last month, Adams was charged with bribery, campaign finance and conspiracy offenses with the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York. Combs was indicted on charges that include racketeering and sex trafficking just weeks earlier.

Combs has since returned his key to the city, but maintains his innocence in light of the allegations against him.
