There’s a double something and a couple of first somethings coming on the CBS hitcom Ghosts.

Rose McIver (who plays Sam), Brandon Scott Jones (Isaac), Román Zaragoza (Sasappis) and Sheila Carrasco (Flower) held court at New York Comic Con on Saturday evening, in a panel Q&A hosted by CBS Mornings‘ Tony Dokoupil. (Utkarsh Ambudkar and Asher Grodman were set to also appear, but couldn’t make it.)

Following a screening of the new season’s second episode, which airs this Thursday at 8:30/7:30c and guest-stars Dean Norris (Breaking Bad) and Melinda McGraw (NCIS) as Sam’s father and his new girlfriend, the cast got to teasing what else is ahead — including the Halloween episode airing on… Halloween!

“There’s an element of magic in it,” Carrasco says in the video above — thought she was very much burying the lead. After all, the episode finds Sam put on trial as a witch, at Patience’s suggestion!

“As if Sam doesn’t have enough going on in her life,” McIver sighs. And the ghosts she has lived among for years just might throw their vote a surprising way. “She’s been waiting hand and foot on these guys, and many of them side with the theory that she’s a witch!

“It’s the most brutal betrayal,” McIver remarks with a laugh.

Above and beyond the Halloween episode, the cast in the video below tease “a double possession,” Sas and Flower’s “very first scene together,” and a long-awaited sighting of a certain someone’s well-established rival.

“This season we’re going to meet, and see, Alexander Hamilton,” Jones shared, to much audience applause. That episode, the actor adds, will shed light on the question, “What could possibly have spawned the rivalry between these two?”
