Former President Obama Beats Richard Branson in Surf Contest
Former President Barack Obama and first lady Michelle have been taking some much-needed time off since they left the White House. The two traveled to the British Virgin Islands, where they were hosted by none other than billionaire Sir Richard Branson.
New photos have surfaced on social media, and they are absolutely priceless! Branson revealed in a blog that the last time Obama was allowed to surf was eight years ago, due to it being a danger while in office.
Naturally, Branson made some arrangements and got the former president back into the water. But the Virgin Group’s founder kicked it up a notch with a challenge: Who could surf and stay up the longest.

Branson stood up on his foilboard and got on the scoreboard with 50 meters. Then, Obama had his turn kitesurfing. In the end, the former president emerged as the winner, surfing for 100 meters.
Branson is planning a long-kite challenge next time the Obamas visit the Virgin Islands.
