It’s official folks: it’s “hoa hoa hoa season.” Have absolutely zero idea of what that means? Allow the Twilight fanatics to explain. In the debut film in the series, there’s a scene in which Bella, played by Kristen Stewart, starts questioning the odd behavior of vampire Edward, played by Robert Pattinson. During the scene, which is categorized by the film’s signature blue hue and gloomy Washington weather, the song “Eyes on Fire” by Blue Foundation plays, and in the beginning of the song, the vocalization sounds a bit like they’re saying “hoa hoa hoa hoa.”

For Twilight fans, this song is now associated with the gloomy-yet-cozy feeling of the film, and therefore, when the weather starts to resemble that of Forks, Washington, it’s officially (or unofficially, depending on who you ask) “hoa hoa hoa” season. So popular is this phenomenon that when you search up “Twilight” on Google, it greets you with a hilarious surprise (Try it!).

However, as great of a musical movie moment “Eyes on Fire” provided, the Twilight film series has a stellar soundtrack outside of it, and for some of the songs, we can’t help but think of Bella and Edward when we hear them. Here, take a look at some of the best songs on the Twilight soundtracks and musical moments from the film—did your favorite make the list?

“It Will Rain” by Bruno Marks in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn — Part 1 (2011)

Although it only plays in the film’s ending credits, “It Will Rain” was a pop radio hit at the time and was a rather fitting choice to come after the events of this particular film in the series. For much of the film, a pregnant Bella is fighting for her life as she’s carrying her and Edward’s baby and after almost losing her life, awakes a vampire after Edward had no choice but to turn her in an attempt to save her life.

'Cause there'll be no sunlight, if I lose you, baby/There'll be no clear skies, if I lose you, baby/Just like the clouds, my eyes will do the same/If you walk away, every day, it'll rain, rain, rain,” Mars sings.

“Turning Page” by Sleeping at Last in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn — Part 1 (2011)

This romantic ballad by Sleeping at Last plays during Bella and Edward’s wedding and sets a beyond emotional scene that we love to look back on. We also hear it again while they’re on their honeymoon.

“Eyes on Fire” by Blue Foundation in Twilight (2008)

The origin of “hoa hoa hoa” season, “Eyes on Fire” has a well-deserved spot on this list of Twilight Saga soundtrack favorites.

“Rosyln” by Bon Iver & St. Vincent in The Twilight Saga: New Moon (2009)

Another song that expertly captures that gloomy coziness of The Twilight Saga, “Rosyln” plays in the second film of the series during a scene in which Bella is printing out photos of fond memories with her, Edward and her friends while she longs for his presence. It plays right before the part in which Edward informs her that he and his family would be leaving Forks.

“Possibility” by Lykke Li in The Twilight Saga: New Moon (2009)

One of the most poignant moments of the entire film series happens during the second film. After Edward leaves, Bella is consumed by her grief and depression, and this song plays as the months go by in front of her eyes.

“Flightless Bird, American Mouth” by Iron and Wine in Twilight (2008)

After the drama of the first film has been wrapped up, this tune plays when Edward takes Bella to the prom—her ensemble complete with a boot on her leg for the injuries she sustained during the ferocious battle that concluded the film.

“A Thousand Years” by Christina Perri in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn — Part 1 (2011)

“A Thousand Years” plays in the final scene of the last film, and perfectly sums up the epic love story of Edward and Bella—it’s hard not to tear up when we hear it!
