Offset admits to lying about Cardi B cheating, blames tequila

Blame it on the alcohol! Offset has walked back accusations that Cardi B cheated.

The Migos rapper accused his wife of having an extramarital affair in June, but he’s now fessing up that it was fake news.

Amid the release of his latest music project, Offset — whose real name is Kiari Kendrell Cephus — attributed the falsehood to his own intoxication, coupled with his wife’s Bronx upbringing.

“That post, to be honest, that’s my wife, I love her to death,” Offset said during an interview on “Way Up With Angela Yee” on Monday. " If you got a New York woman, you got a pitbull at the mouth. We was going back and forth, I like a lil Casamigos, I was lit and I said, ‘Watch this.’ I love my wife at the end of the day but she crazy, man.”

Cardi B immediately addressed the infidelity rumor on Twitter, telling her followers not to “pay attention to the country man.”

“I’m f---- Cardi B,” the Bronx native — whose real name is Belcalis Marlenis Almanzar — continued. “If I was giving this p---- to anybody, it would be out. And just not anybody. I can’t f---- no regular degular shmegular because they gon tell the world. I can’t f--- nobody in the industry cause they gon tell too.”

“So please boy, stop acting stupid,” the “Bodak Yellow” lyricist publicly warned Offset. “Don’t play with me.”

Capitalizing on the manufactured marital drama, the couple dropped the new song “Jealousy” on Friday.

The music video, directed by Offset, opens with recent Academy Award winner Jamie Lee Curtis narrating the drama. She appeared in a James Brown-inspired teaser clip earlier last week. Both rappers directly address the squabble, evoking John Singleton’s 2001 film “Baby Boy.”

The film’s original star, Taraji P. Henson, also appears in the n-word-laden clip.

Even though his drunken Instagram Storycreated a firestorm in the social mediasphere, Offset felt like he didn’t need to clarify the situation because he deleted the original post.

“The delete is enough, because at the end of the day, them people don’t be really knowing what’s going on with us,” he told Yee.
