'Oh my god!' Gwen Stefani surprises Blake Shelton fans at metro Phoenix concert
Blake Shelton was nine songs deep in a crowd-pleasing stop on the Back to the Honky Tonk Tour in Glendale, Arizona, when he asked the crowd at Desert Diamond Arena if they could help him sing the next song, a duet.
“It’s just me and y'all tonight,” Shelton explained. “I've got a couple duets I can do if you guys will sing along with me. It's just me here. I hope you're not disappointed but y’all got to be my Gwen Stefani for me tonight.”
And with that, he led the crowd in a spirited singalong on “Happy Anywhere,” a hit duet he and Stefani recorded together that topped the country charts in 2020.

It was after that song that Stefani strolled on stage in white fur jacket and shiny knee-high boots to join him on “Nobody But You,” another of their hit duets.
Shelton was clearly thrilled to have tricked the crowd into thinking Stefani wasn't in the building.
“Oh my god! I’ve been so excited about that all day,” Shelton said with a grin. “This is Gwen Stefani by the way everybody.”
They sounded great together and Stefani, who looked amazing, stuck around for one more song, their latest single, “Purple Irises.”
Desert Diamond Arena posted a clip of Stefani and Shelton on stage on X, formerly Twitter, tagging it #CoupleGoals.
