Olivia Wilde shares note her daughter wrote about crushes: ‘That’s my girl’
Olivia Wilde is sharing cute evidence of her 7-year-old daughter Daisy's liberated attitude about crushes.
The "Don't Worry Darling" actor and director, 40, proudly shared a photo of a note Daisy wrote June 10 in her Instagram story.
"I have a crush on nobody. I don't need a boy," the note read.
Wilde expressed her approval by writing on the image, "That's my girl" and adding a fist bump emoji.
The former "House" star shares Daisy and a 10-year-old son, Otis, with her former fiancé, "Ted Lasso" creator and star Jason Sudeikis.
Wilde opened up to People in 2018 about how she tries to raise her children without gender stereotypes.
“It’s really interesting having a boy and a girl because you see the difference in the way that their consciousness blossoms amidst the onslaught of marketing and messaging that comes towards kids,” she said.
“Little kids are still being told men are the powerful, strong ones and women are the weaker, more vulnerable ones,” she added.
Wilde also said she was determined to raise Daisy without “self-imposed limitations” of what it means to be a girl.
She added that she considered it a parent’s “responsibility” to show their children “every example you can think of a more balanced, fair society.”

Wilde and Sudeikis welcomed their first child, son Otis, in April 2014.
In December 2020, Wilde told People that her son was named after a late R&B legend. “He was named after Otis Redding,” she explained. “I’ve just always been a huge fan."
Otis has inherited a love of soccer from his dad, who filmed the soccer-themed comedy series "Ted Lasso" in England.
"My little boy is really taken with the sport, oddly enough the second we got back to the states,” Sudeikis told Access Hollywood in March 2023. “And now the stuff we play on FIFA, he’s all in."
The former "Saturday Night Live" star added that daughter Daisy also "enjoys it but doesn’t play it yet but Otis is getting into it big time.”
Father and son also share a love of basketball. The pair were photographed at a New York Knicks game in March 2023.
They were later photographed sitting courtside with Jason Bateman and his daughter Maple when the Los Angeles Lakers played against the Denver Nuggets on May 22, 2023.
Daisy, 7
Wilde and Sudeikis welcomed their second child, daughter Daisy, in October 2016.
Daisy has also attended sports events with her dad. In July 2021, Daisy and her brother joined Sudeikis on the pitcher's mound when he threw out the first pitch at a Chicago Cubs-St. Louis Cardinals baseball game at Wrigley Field.
In June 2023, Daisy joined her mom and brother to hold a sign on a picket line in support of the Hollywood writers strike.
“Core memories include learning about corporate greed even when you wanna love Netflix,” Wilde captioned a black-and-white photo of her and her kids on Instagram.
Daisy also appeared onscreen to play the daughter of Wilde's character in 2022's "Don't Worry Darling."
Wilde opened up about Daisy's cameo during a September 2022 appearance on "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert," revealing that she was happy Daisy was able to see her both directing and acting in the film.
“I really loved that she was seeing me in that light,” said Wilde. “I thought, oh good, like somewhere subconsciously this is seeping in, that her mother is in charge and is supported by this awesome crew.”
