ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (WIVB) — One Bills fan’s bet with NFL Today host Nate Burleson has taken the internet by storm. The bet was that if the Bills win against the Chiefs, Bills fan Justin Staffone gets to keep Burleson’s jacket.

“I heard him say he’s picking the Chiefs and I was like, might was well make a bet that’s a once in a lifetime opportunity,” Staffone said. “He happened to take me up on it.”

Staffone, who attended the game wearing overalls with no shirt underneath, said he picked the jacket because it looked comfortable.

“I was kinda cold at the time, but I mean, you can’t let that show,” he said.

The Bills beat the Chiefs 30-21 Sunday. Burleson said he’s a man of his word and went to find the Bills fan after the game to give him the jacket, but wasn’t able to.

The TV host posted a video on social media asking for the internet’s help in finding “the shirtless man in the overalls.” It worked and the internet was able to find the fan.

Staffone told WIVB News 4 that he will be getting the jacket in the mail. There is one condition with the bet: Burleson said once Justin gets the coat, he has to take a photo with it in the overalls.

Staffone said the entire experience was life changing.

“I don’t know where to go from here. I don’t know how you top a bet with Nate Burleson,” he said. “Who knows? Bills make the playoffs, the Super Bowl, I’ll have to make a bet with somebody big, so we’ll see what happens.”
