One Piece Season 2 Cast Finds Its Crocodile & Nico Robin
Netflix has reportedly welcomed True Blood alum Joe Manganiello and Anna star Lera Abova to the One Piece Season 2 cast for the highly-anticipated next installment to the hit live-action adaptation of Eiichiro Oda’s beloved long-running manga series. Production is currently underway in South Africa.
Manganiello has been tapped to portray antagonist Mr. O/Crocodile, who will be introduced as one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea, and the leader of the Baroque Works syndicate. Meanwhile, Abova is set to portray the fan-favorite role of Miss All Sunday/Nico Robin, who will be introduced as Crocodile’s right-hand woman. Like Luffy, both characters are Devil Fruit users. In the original manga and anime series, Robin will eventually become an important member of the Straw Hat pirates.
Who is in the One Piece Season 2 cast?
One Piece Season 2 will once again be led by I?aki Godoy as Monkey D. Luffy, Mackenyu as Roronoa Zoro, Emily Rudd as Nami, Jacob Romero Gibson as Usopp, and Taz Skylar as Sanji. It hails from writers and executive producers Steven Maeda (The X-Files) and Matt Owens (Agents of SHIELD), with Owens and Joe Tracz set as the showrunners for Season 2.
Besides the casting of Manganiello and Abova, Season 2 will also feature Charithra Chandran as Miss Wednesday/Princess Vivi, Sendhil Ramamurthy as Nefertari Cobra, Katey Sagal as Dr. Kureha, David Dastmalchian as Mr. 3, Camrus Johnson as Mr. 5, Jazzara Jaslyn as Miss Valentine, Daniel Lasker as Mr. 9, Werner Coetser as Dorry, Brendan Murray as Brogy, Clive Russell as Crocus, Callum Kerr as Smoker, Julia Rehwald as Tashigi, Rob Colletti as Wapol, Ty Keogh as Dalton, and Mark Harelik as Dr. Hiriluk. The next installment will also feature returning cast members Ilia Isorelys Paulino as Alvida, Jeff Ward as Buggy, and Michael Dorman as Gold Roger.
