One Piece Season 2 News Coming at Netflix Geeked Week
Earlier this week, Netflix announced the return of Geeked Week in September, and fans around the world have been wondering what the streaming giant could show off during the event. In addition to the teases we got with the announcement, it looks like we could also be getting news about one of Netflix’s best recent shows.
The official Twitter account for Netflix’s live-action One Piece show has teased that news for season 2 of One Piece could be coming during Netflix Geeked Week in September. The account reposted the official announcement post from Netflix, and advised fans to “set [their] calendars for the week of SEPT 16,” which is when Geeked Week is taking place.

One Piece season 2 entered production in South Africa last month, so it’s unlikely that enough of it has been filmed – and VFX added – to offer a proper look at the upcoming season just yet. That said, a brief teaser is certainly not out of the question, and more details about the upcoming season, like maybe a release date, are entirely possible.
Details on season 2 of One Piece are pretty slim right now, but we do know a few key details. Netflix teased a fan favorite villain in a video earlier this year celebrating the birthday of Monkey D. Luffy, the main character in the series, and we’ve had little hints here and there about how much of the source material will be adapted into the new season.
In addition to One Piece, Netflix has also hinted that Wednesday, Squid Game, Avatar: The Last Airbender, and Stranger Things, among many others, will be making an appearance at Geeked Week. The week-long event will culminate with an in-person event on September 19 in Atlanta, Georgia.
