Oscars 2019: Where to live stream Hollywood's big night, from the red carpet to the ceremony
The 2019 Oscars are what everyone will be talking about on Monday morning and, depending on how interesting the show proves to be, maybe even for years to come. (Adele Dazeem, anyone?)
Happily, they’re easy to watch. The 91st Annual Academy Awards, which take place at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on Sunday, Feb. 24, at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, Calif., will air live on ABC and at ABC.com.
But even those who aren’t cable subscribers can watch the inevitable gaffes by the presenters, the buzzy acceptance speeches and the usual in memoriam tribute to those in the industry who have died in the preceding year (which is sure to leave someone out). The providers Sling and Hulu will offer a live stream, and both offer free trials of at least one week for new subscribers.
Much of the action starts before the awards show even begins, as the stars walk the red carpet. Oscars Opening Ceremony: Live From the Red Carpet precedes the ceremony on ABC at 6:30 p.m. ET/3:30 p.m. PT. You can also fashion watch over on E!, which also streams on both Sling and Hulu, beginning at 1 p.m. ET/10 a.m. PT. Another option: Twitter will stream a show, Oscars All Access: Red Carpet Live, at 6:30 p.m. ET/3:30 p.m. PT.
