Outside Lands organizers throw free music festival at Embarcadero Plaza in SF
SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — After the successful pop-up concert in May headlined by Skrillex at San Francisco’s Civic Center, event organizers appear to notice the city’s appetite for electronic music.
The party in San Francisco continues this weekend for EDM fans, who will be treated to a free music festival. “Dirtybird: Back to Baysics” is a free event on Sunday, July 21 headlined by Sacha Robotti from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. at the Embarcadero Plaza and Market Street.
Robotti will be joined by fellow DJs Moody Jones and Deron Delgado. Two more additional acts will be announced in the next few days, event promoters say.
The event is co-promoted by Another Planet Entertainment (APE), which also promotes the Outside Lands music festival.

Those looking to attend can text “FERRY” to 415-446-1025 for the latest updates on the lineup and event information. SFMTA will announce any street closures related to the event later this week.
APE is a locally-owned concert production company founded in the Bay Area — promoting its first concert in San Francisco back in 2003. It operates and promotes concerts at the Greek Theatre in Berkeley, San Francisco’s Bill Graham Civic Auditorium, The Castro, and The Independent and the Fox Theater in Oakland.
