Owen Wilson joins the cast of Marvel Studios' 'Loki' series
Owen Wilson has joined the cast of Loki, with various outlets confirming that he will be a major character in the upcoming Disney+ series.
At the moment, details of Wilson’s character are being kept firmly under wraps, which is hardly surprising as production on the show has either only just begun or will commence in the new few days or weeks.
Wilson, who rose to fame thanks to his work in Zoolander, The Royal Tenenbaums, and Wedding Crashers, will be a worthy addition to the cast of Loki, which now looks set to follow the same comedic tone as Thor: Ragnarok.
At the moment, the only confirmed cast members for Loki are Wilson, Hiddleston, and Sophia Di Martino.

We also know that it will follow the events of Avengers: Endgame, which saw Loki escaping from New York City when Iron Man, Ant-Man, and Captain America travelled back to the events of 2012’s The Avengers to try and steal the Space Stone so that they could reverse Thanos’ villainous antics in Avengers: Infinity War.
Actually, we know a little bit more than that.
It’s already been confirmed that the first season will consist of six episodes, all of which will be an hour long. The showrunner on Loki will be Michael Waldron, who previously worked on Rick & Morty, while Sex Education and Five By Five’s Kate Herron will direct all six episodes of the series, too.

Even though the show is still over a year away, Marvel president Kevin Feige has already confirmed that Loki will tie into Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness, too.
We’ll find out exactly how when Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness is released on 7 May, 2021, as long as it finds a new director quickly, while Marvel and Disney have already confirmed that Loki will hit Disney+ around the same time, in Spring, 2021.
