Pam From ‘The Office’ Gets a Reprieve From Chili’s After 11-Year ‘Ban’

Good news, fans of The Office, Pam Beesly’s ban from Chili’s has officially been lifted.

In case you need a refresher, the Season 2 Office episode “The Dundies” saw Jenna Fischer’s lovable Pam Beesly banned from all Chili’s locations after a drunken, rowdy night of Dunder-Mifflin’s annual awards celebration.

Seems like the actress has never lived down her character’s night of indiscretion. On Monday afternoon, she tweeted a selfie with the caption, “Should I try to go in?”

The tweet blew up. Fans liked and retweeted it a half-million times. The fine folks at the Chili’s PR department, meanwhile, issued a real-life press release, forgiving the fictional Pam Beesly. Said Kelli Valade, president of Chili’s, “After reviewing the good conduct of Pam, I have decided to lift the now 11-year ban. Pam is an inspiration to many, and we welcome her with open arms.”

Jenna Fischer seemed thrilled with the decision, but we’re not quite sure she learned her lesson. Her follow-up tweet was merely the exclamation, “OMG! Second drink!!!”
