Pantera Kick Off 2024 Tour, Perform “Floods” for First Time Since 2001: Video + Setlist

Pantera kicked off their 2024 North American tour with Lamb of God on Saturday (February 3rd) in Sunrise, Florida, and the set featured a welcome surprise for diehard fans.
The reunited metal legends — featuring classic members Philip Anselmo and Rex Brown alongside Zakk Wylde and Charlie Benante — performed a 14-song career-spanning set. The unexpected highlight came when Pantera revisited the dark, seven-minute masterpiece “Floods,” the first performance of the standout track from The Great Southern Trendkill since 2001. A fan favorite, “Floods” is one of the group’s more artful and doomier moments, warranting comparisons to one of Philip Anselmo’s other projects, Down.
The rest of the evening saw Pantera performing a set similar to those they performed last year during their initial reunion run. The rousing Vulgar Display of Power track “A New Level” kicked off the setlist — “Floods” came near the middle — and the band ended the performance with a massive finale barrage of “Walk,” “Domination,” “Hollow,” and “Cowboys from Hell,” with an encore of “Fucking Hostile.”
Next up, Pantera and Lamb of God play Monday night (January 5th) in Tampa, Florida, and then make stops in such markets as Nashville, Kansas City, Green Bay, New York City, and Baltimore before wrapping up February 27th in Québec City. You can get tickets here.
