Paramount Plus‘s new TV and movie releases for January 8-14 2024 include The Exorcist, Maggie’s Plan, and Love & Basketball.
On January 8, viewers can start streaming The Exorcist, a 1973 horror classic and the first horror film to be nominated for the Academy Award for Best Picture. The story revolves around the demonic possession of a young girl and her mother’s attempts to remove the evil spirit possessing her through an exorcism performed by Catholic priests.
Also on the 8th, viewers can stream Maggie’s Plan, a romantic-comedy drama written and directed by Rebecca Miller. Based on an original story by Karen Rinaldi, later published in 2017 as the book The End of Men, this film stars Greta Gerwig and Ethan Hawke in the lead roles alongside a supporting cast that includes Bill Hader, Maya Rudolph, Travis Fimmel, Wallace Shawn, and Julianne Moore.
Finally, another film dropping on the 8th is Love & Basketball, directed by Gina-Prince Bythewood and starring Omar Epps and Sanaa Lathan. The story revolves around two next-door neighbors and basketball players who fall in love while pursuing their respective careers.
