Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie have commenced filming on a reboot of “The Simple Life.” On Monday, the duo was spotted at the fast food chain Sonic, where they memorably worked as cashiers in the show’s first season.

Hilton and Richie donned blue graphic T-shirts and aprons baring Sonic’s branding, which they accessorized with bedazzled mary jane heels and white slingback pumps, respectively. Hilton also carried a heart-shaped purse emblazoned with her name, while Richie added on silver earrings and cat-eye shades.
They eventually removed their uniforms to reveal stylish minidresses. Hilton selected a denim Self-Portrait frock featuring a keyhole cutout and crystallized trim, pairing it with rimless Y2K-inspired sunglasses. Richie wore a high-neck brown suede silhouette.
In season one of “The Simple Life,” Hilton and Richie swap their luxe lives in Los Angeles for Arkansas farm country, moving in with the Leading family in the small town of Altus. Hijinks ensue as the girls take up odd jobs at a dairy mill, a gas station and Sonic, among others. The series, which initially aired on Fox before being picked up by E!, helped turn Hilton and Richie into household names.
While filming the reboot, Richie also stepped back into a Sonic mascot suit — in the original episode, the duo dresses up in giant slushie costumes, which have since been replaced by hot dogs.
Peacock’s reboot of “The Simple Life” doesn’t yet have an air date, though it was first teased by Hilton and Richie in May. “New Era. Same Besties,” the caption of their Instagram posts read.
