Paris Hilton Pulled Down A New TikTok After It Sparked Internet Fury
Paris Hilton has had to deal with her fair share of mom shamers. (Well, it’s probably more appropriate to say “unfair share” because can we stop with the mom shaming already?!) And a new TikTok was hit with so much heat that the socialite took the video down.
The mom of two recently posted a video of her kids in her car all dressed up for a Mother’s Day brunch, per Page Six. The video has since been taken down, but screenshots obtained by Page Six show the backseat setup. Hilton’s kids — Phoenix, 1 and London, 6 months whom she shares with husband Carter Reum — are sitting in car seats that are facing forward.

Though each child was buckled into the five-point harness connected to the car seat, you could see London’s little hand clenching the “adult” seatbelt that was also strapped across her lap.
Per Page Six, followers were concerned with this setup and even offered to come help her with the straps to keep Phoenix and London “as safe as can be.”
“Please hire someone to install car seats,” one person commented. Another said, “Crazy unsafe. This is wild,” per The Daily Mail.
Another pleaded with the singer to double-check the manual and see if the latch and belt could be used at the same time. “Usually hard no,” they continued. “Also, [sitting in a] rear-facing [car seat] until 2ys is usually law.”

Some thought perhaps the new mom was playing a joke on her followers while others said the kids were “fine” or “perfect” and noted that maybe it was OK since the two weren’t in a “typical car.” Hilton’s new “mom van” looks more like a spaceship.
And then there were others who had a more respectful approach, pointing out the alleged error of the heiress’ ways without inundating her with the kind of vitriol she constantly faces. “I think their car seats need to be reverse facing. You’re doing amazing though!” Yup! Not to minimize the severity of the potentially fatal situation, but that’s really all you have to do. Point out the flaw and follow it up with the even more obvious truth — that moms are doing amazing, even if they sometimes make mistakes.
