As Paris Hilton returns to her onscreen roots, she enjoyed a reunion with the Leding family.
The Simple Life star recently opened up about the long-awaited reboot of her and Nicole Richie‘s early aughts reality series, which will reunite the stars with their original Season 1 host family in Altus, Arkansas more than 20 years later.

“It was such an important part of pop-culture history and has really shaped this industry in so many ways and inspired so many others,” Hilton said of the original show in an interview for Nylon. “And now we’re coming back to celebrate this again. I’m so excited about Paris & Nicole: The Encore.”
Hilton told Bebe Rexha they had “a lot of fun” returning to their former positions at Sonic Drive-In for a recent promo shoot, this time at a Southern California location, after taking on jobs at the fast-food chain in Altus.
“We went back to Arkansas to visit the family that we stayed with originally,” noted Hilton. “To see all the same people and go to all the same places that we were hanging out at, it was really emotional and special.”
Premiering on Fox in 2003, The Simple Life originally followed Hilton and Richie as they adjusted to life with the Ledings in Arkansas, where they attempted to hold down a normal job. The series switched to E! ahead of Season 4, before ending with Season 5 in 2007.
In May, the longtime best friends announced they would reunite for a new reality series, which is set for Peacock. “New Era. Same Besties. Coming soon to Peacock,” they wrote in a joint post.
