Vivienne Tam’s spring 2025 show opened on Thursday in Paris with a familiar face: Paris Jackson ushered in the latest collection.

The model, actress and singer walked the runway in two looks. She wore a gray suit with a relaxed fit, and she modeled a three-piece look consisting of a brocade jacket and matching wrap skirt paired with a striped button-up shirt and a pair of fringed shoes.

For spring 2025, Tam took inspiration from the island of Hainan in China and Lí Jǐn, “whose 3,000-year-old tradition of brocade weaving has been recognized as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage,” according to the brand. The “La Li — Hainan Breeze” collection features “intricate patterns inspired by the Li tribe’s rich iconography, including symbols of strength, nature, and community, such as strongmen, deers, frogs, flowers, and dancing women.”

Tam’s interpretation of her influence also extends to the fabrics in the collection, which were crafted while “using indigenous methods by Hainan’s Li artisans,” and the color palette, “drawing from the natural beauty of Hainan.”

Jackson made her catwalk debut in 2020 at Jean Paul Gauliter’s final haute couture show, which served as the designer’s sendoff and a 50-year retrospective of his career. Jackson modeled in the star-studded production along with Boy George, Dita Von Teese, Erin O’Connor, Coco Rocha, Jade Parfitt, Karlie Kloss, Gigi and Bella Hadid, Jourdan Dunn, Lily McMenamy, Karen Elson, Anna Cleveland, Estelle Lefébure, Noémie Lenoir, Winnie Harlow and Farida Khelfa.

Jackson also took in Nina Ricci’s show today in Paris, sitting alongside Leomie Anderson and Molly Chiang in the front row. For the occasion, Jackson wore a longline blazer as a dress with a leg of mutton sleeve and a cutout in the back, pairing it with crystal-embellished strappy sandals and a crystal-trimmed satin handbag.
