Pat McAfee Shares His Honest Thoughts About Travis Kelce Wearing a 'Silly Costume' on Stage at the Eras Tour
Pat McAfee had a lot to say about Travis Kelce's recent stage debut at Taylor Swift's Eras Tour.
After the Kansas City Chiefs tight end surprised the Eras Tour audience during his superstar girlfriend's concert in London last week, some members of the sports community have spoken out to give their two cents on Kelce's performance.
Among them is sports commentator McAfee, who spoke out this week to applaud the NFL star for his unabashed support of Swift, 34.
In an Instagram video from The Pat McAfee Show, the media personality shouted out Kelce, 34, who he said "killed it" during his appearance on the Eras Tour stage.
In case you missed it, Kelce came out on stage in a black tux and a top hat, similar to the outfits worn by Swift's dancers during the transition between "The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived" to "I Can Do It With a Broken Heart."
But McAfee, 37, had nothing but respect for Kelce's performance, praising the athlete for being "willing to wear that silly costume."
And despite how funny Kelce may have looked, McAfee insisted, "I don't care. We're proud of you, Trav."
"Way to go," he added.
McAfee further gushed about Kelce's Eras Tour cameo, applauding him for being "poised, prepared, strong, full of moxie, and also willing to do whatever to support his partner, Taylor Swift."
"Once again—I can't reiterate this enough—a football guy has gone into this pop culture world and showcased what can be," McAfee explained.
"Pat gets it ??" one fan wrote in the comments on Instagram after hearing McAfee's take on the matter, while someone else chimed in to say, "I agree with Pat, Travis is the perfect one for Taylor!??????."
"Pat is seriously one of best Ambassadors for Travis & Taylor!" another user added while telling McAfee, "Love your excitement."
