Pat Sajak on 'Wheel of Fortune'

It's the end of an era, as Pat Sajak's final episode hosting Wheel of Fortune has been revealed.

After helming the beloved game show for over 40 years, Sajak, 77, will officially retire on June 7, TVLine reported. The Season 41 finale title will be "Thanks for the Memories," according to Rotten Tomatoes.

In June 2023, Sajak confirmed he would be stepping back as the host of Wheel of Fortune.

“Well, the time has come,” he wrote on X (formerly Twitter). “I’ve decided that our 41st season, which begins in September, will be my last. It’s been a wonderful ride, and I’ll have more to say in the coming months. Many thanks to you all. (If nothing else, it'll keep the clickbait sites busy!)"

Later that same month, Ryan Seacrest took to X to confirm he would take over as host.

I’m truly humbled to be stepping into the footsteps of the legendary Pat Sajak,” the longtime American Idol host wrote. “I can say, along with the rest of America, that it’s been a privilege and pure joy to watch Pat and Vanna on our television screens for an unprecedented 40 years, making us smile every night and feel right at home with them. Pat, I love the way you’ve always celebrated the contestants and made viewers at home feel at ease. I look forward to learning everything I can from you during this transition."

As for Vanna White, she will remain with the show, as she signed a contract to stay on through the 2025–2026 season.
