A recent concert put on by Dhani Harrison was an all-out family affair—a Beatles family affair, that is. Harrison is the son of the beloved member of The Beatles, George Harrison, and at a recent concert in London, he had the full support of Paul McCartney’s children James and Stella McCartney.

In a post shared to his Instagram, James showcased the adorable reunion the three of them had, with a caption that read, “Great gig last night in London watching @dhaniharrison! Please support his music ????.” We love this adorable friendship!

Over the years, the children of these two famous band members have remained close, always supporting one another’s endeavors whenever the opportunity presented itself, from Dhani’s music to Stella’s work in the fashion industry. Harrison even went as far as to say to Daily Mail in 2012 that he felt closest to Paul McCartney’s daughters Stella and Mary.

How Dhani Harrison carries on George Harrison’s legacy

The son of George and Olivia Harrison, Dhani has proven himself in the music industry over the last several years as a force to be reckoned with. Despite his musical talents, his pursuit of the craft wasn’t immediate, as he actually studied physics at Brown University before heading to work for McLaren designing cars.

However, being raised around music his entire life, his work as a designer eventually transitioned to music full-time. "I was making a record in L.A. and making a record in Switzerland with my father,” he explained to NBC San Diego in 2017. “My design transitioned to being album artwork. I never really gave it [design] up; it just sort of transitioned," he said.

For this Beatles offspring, pursuing a career in music as opposed to designing cars was a no-brainer. After all, he’d spent much of his youth in the company of some of music’s greatest.

I'm honored to be a part of his legacy,” he told NPR’s All Thing’s Considered of his father. “And also, we made so much music together, and spent so much time in the studio at my house in Friar Park, in Henley where I grew up. The studio was directly below my bedroom, so my floor has rattled my whole life. I would always go downstairs and just see what was going on. I remember the Traveling Wilburys there. So, I was very comfortable in the studio, and I kind of grew up learning how to produce and play.”

He continued, “For me, it was facilitated very much by my dad, and we were best friends, so spending a lot of time in the studio with him was natural.”

While most recognize him at first for his relation to his famous father, Dhani Harrison’s career and music is beloved by many. Listen to his music here
