Barry Keoghan is officially part of the “Peaky Blinders” gang.

Netflix revealed a first look at the “Saltburn” actor in the upcoming movie spinoff on social media on Friday. In the shot, he’s driving a truck while sporting a cap, leather jacket and a fresh cut on his face.

More from Variety

Despite the image of Keoghan, not much else is known about his character or what role he’ll play in the film.

Keoghan joins his fellow Irishman Cillian Murphy, who is returning as Tommy Shelby, in the movie. Other stars from the series reprising their roles include Stephen Graham, Sophie Rundle, Ned Dennehy, Packy Lee and Ian Peck. Alongside Keoghan, another newcomer to the franchise is Jay Lycurgo, whose role is also undisclosed.

The film will be directed by Tom Harper, who previously helmed several episodes of the series. “Peaky Blinders” first premiered in 2013 on BBC Two, and Netflix eventually acquired the rights to release the show in the U.S. Its sixth and final season aired in 2022, and in June it was revealed that a feature film was in the works.

Knight wrote the “Peaky Blinders” film, and also co-produces alongside Murphy, Caryn Mandabach and Guy Heeley. Executive producers include Harper, David Kosse, Jamie Glazebrook, Andrew Warren and David Mason.

Production on the film started in September, when a first look at Murphy back in character was revealed. The plot of the film also remains tightly under wraps, but it is being described as “an epic continuation of the multi-award-winning gangster saga, set in the lawless streets of Birmingham in the 1900s.”
