Pensacolians and frequent visitors likely won’t see this as a surprise as the restaurant has been a culinary staple for over two decades — known for its fresh seafood and upscale, dockside dining that overlooks Pensacola Bay.
This isn’t the first bit of recognition the restaurant has seen. It has been featured on "American Pickers," "Emeril’s Florida," "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition," "Picked Off" and The Travel Channel's "Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmern." MSNBC host Joe Scarborough has also named The Fish House a Florida go-to along the Gulf Coast.
The restaurant has also served several notable figures such as John McCain, Mitt Romney, Emmitt Smith, William Shatner, Steve Martin and the first man on the moon, Neil Armstrong.
The Fish House is part of a larger group of restaurants owned by Collier Merrill that includes Angelena's, Atlas Oyster House, Jackson's Steakhouse, Five Sisters Blues Cafe and Palafox House.
