While Pluma spent a good chunk of 2023 on the road in support of his breakthrough album Génesis, the Mexican singer-songwriter is promising a brand new show for the “Exodo” tour. That includes, per a press release, totally reimagined stage design and setlist.
Génesis anchored a wildly successful year for Pluma, who was awarded his first Grammy in the Best Música Mexicana Album (Including Tejano) category. Speaking with Rolling Stone after the win, he dedicated the victory to his home country and spoke on what makes his take on Mexican corridos so singular: “I think Double P as a sound is unique,” he said. “The project, the musicians, the live instruments, everything, and the genre, and I think that’s the most important thing of all.”
As for new music, Pluma closed out 2023 with a string of singles and collaborations, including “Bellakeo” with Anitta and “Rompe la Dompe” with Junior H and Oscar Maydon. In 2024, he shared “La Intención” with Christian Nodal and partnered with Kali Uchis for “Igual Que Un ángel” off her new album Orquídeas.
