Pete Davidson and Madelyn Cline have gone their separate ways.
In July 2024, PEOPLE learned that the King of Staten Island actor and Outer Banks star had broken up after 10 months of dating.
News of their relationship first broke in September 2023 and they went public with their romance at a Saturday Night Live afterparty in October, following Davidson’s hosting gig.
Davidson was previously in a relationship with actress Chase Sui Wonders, who he met on the set of Bodies Bodies Bodies in 2021. The two began dating in 2022 and were together for less than a year before breaking up in August 2023.
Meanwhile, Cline was most recently linked to singer Jackson Guthy in 2022, following her split from Outer Banks costar Chase Stokes in November 2021.

July 2023: Madelyn Cline and Jackson Guthy spark breakup rumors
After a year of dating, Cline and Guthy sparked breakup rumors as eagle-eyed fans noticed that Cline was no longer following Guthy on social media, just a few months after posting a 27th birthday tribute to him with a photo of the two of them together.
August 2023: Pete Davidson and Chase Sui Wonders break up
In August 2023, a source told PEOPLE that Davidson and Wonders were no longer an item. "He's single again," the source said at the time. "He's out and about and doing really well."
The breakup came two months after the Bupkis star voluntarily checked himself into mental health treatment in June for his post-traumatic stress disorder and borderline personality disorder diagnosis. After his discharge, the comedian was spotted in Florida, where he performed a standup set at a comedy club in Dania Beach.
September 22, 2023: Sources confirm to PEOPLE that Pete Davidson and Madelyn Cline are dating
In late September, multiple sources confirmed to PEOPLE that Davidson and Cline were dating. Reps for Davidson and Cline did not respond to PEOPLE's request for comment at the time.
September 23, 2023: Madelyn Cline attends Pete Davidson’s standup show
Shortly after their relationship news broke, Cline was spotted in Las Vegas for the comedian’s Pete Davidson Live standup show at the Chelsea.
The pair stayed in Crockfords Entertainment Suite at Resorts World Las Vegas for their “quick 24-hour trip” and “spent a majority of their time” at the hotel’s Allē Lounge on 66.
October 14, 2023: Pete Davidson and Madelyn Cline attend an SNL afterparty together
In mid-October, the duo went public with their romance as they were spotted holding hands on the way into the Saturday Night Live afterparty at Catch Steak, in photos obtained by Page Six. The appearance came shortly after Davidson returned to Studio 8H as the show’s host.
“They seemed very lovey, very cute, but they kept to themselves," a source exclusively told PEOPLE of their appearance at the party, which also included celebrity guests such as Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce.
Despite the couple being “not very social,” the source added, “[Davidson] stayed pretty late. He was there till after 4 a.m.”
December 28, 2023: Pete Davidson and Madelyn Cline grab coffee in New York
Just a few days after Christmas, the couple was seen grabbing coffee as they dined at Bobo's Café in Somers, a town in Westchester. In photos obtained by TMZ, they were seen keeping a low profile as Davidson ordered an iced matcha latte.
January 9, 2024: Madelyn Cline appears in Pete Davidson's standup comedy special
In the comedian’s Netflix standup special, Turbo Fonzarelli, a photo of Cline was featured amongst a slideshow that accompanied the end credits. In the photo, the Outer Banks actress is seated on a private jet and wearing a hoodie and a puffer jacket as she stares out the plane’s window.
July 2024: Madelyn Cline and Pete Davidson break up
After 10 months of dating, PEOPLE learned that Cline and Davidson broke up in July 2024. The U.S. Sun was the first to report the news, noting that the split was "amicable."
