Phoenix restaurant named one of the 'most stunning' new dining rooms in the US

The Robb Report just released its list of "The 27 Most Beautiful New Restaurants in America in 2023" and a Phoenix restaurant received a nod.
It also made The Arizona Republic's 10 best new restaurants of 2023 list.
Pyro, described as a Japanese izakaya meets American bistro, opened at the corner of 44th Street and Camelback Road earlier this year. Flagship Restaurant Group, the same team behind Palma and Ghost Donkey in downtown Phoenix, partnered with AvroKo on the interior design, which features indoor and outdoor seating options and an open kitchen to allow diners to watch the culinary team work with the fire alluded to in the restaurant name. Most of the dishes at the restaurant are roasted, grilled and seared on an open hearth.
The details that landed the restaurant on the list of "design that may just be good enough to eat," were the touches inspired by Japanese supper clubs of the 1950s. "Floral fabrics, velvets, and a dark color palette make the space feel lush and luxe," wrote Tori Latham.
Details: 4300 E. Camelback Road, Suite 125, Phoenix. 602-755-0049, pyrophx.com.
