Goodall will be celebrating her milestone birthday in two weeks.
“??? The countdown has begun – Jane turns 90 on April 3rd ????,” a pinned post on her official Instagram account from Feb. 4 reads.
“We’re planning to make this birthday the most memorable one yet! We’ve got lots planned,” the message says, adding that there will be events in Seattle and New York, plus a video birthday compilation message.
“A global #GoodAllDay party to honor Jane’s spirit of kindness!” is also planned for her upcoming birthday.

Lauren Sánchez, who is also the Bezos Earth Fund Vice Chair, called Goodall one of her “environmental heroes."
“I would like to truly thank the Bezos Earth Fund for supporting our conservation work in Africa," Goodall said in a statement. “The protection of these forests, with their rich biodiversity, is crucial not only for the survival of the great apes, but also in efforts to slow down climate change.”
The goal of their partnership is to “safeguard the integrity and significant environmental carbon value of the larger Congo Basin rainforest” as well as “preserve the cultures and values of local and Indigenous communities."
