Pink Reveals Whether Daughter Willow Plans to Follow in Her Footsteps One Day
Pink and her daughter, Willow.
With Willow Sage Hart having become a prominent presence during many of her mother's concerts over the last couple of years, you might expect her to follow in Pink's footsteps into stardom on day, but the "Please Don't Leave Me" songstress has revealed that that's not quite what the 12-year-old has in mind—even though she's already shaved her hair off to match.
While chatting with People at an event celebrating Bob Mackie on Monday, May 13, the touring artist confirmed that, while her daughter will be continuing to tour with her in Europe this summer, where they'll duet their song “Cover Me In Sunshine," the pre-teen has other aspirations for the long term.
Someday, Willow hopes to perform on Broadway—a genre she and her mom are working on together right now. "She's very into musical theater," Pink shared. "I'm trying to get her to spread her wings a little bit.”
“She's got a voice, man. She's a little bird,” she continued, adding that after crossing Broadway off the list, Willow plans to become a trauma surgeon.
“Yeah, she's rad,” the singer said, sharing that the girl's taken her inspiration from Grey’s Anatomy.
For now, Willow makes her money touring with her multitalented mom, making minimum wage for an unspecified position—though it's, assumedly, as a guest performer.
“She's very happy with that and she works her butt off,” Pink told the publication. The musician is using it as a tool to teach the youngster about negotiating salaries and advocating for herself—a skill that still needs some refining.
"I said it’s about $22.50 a show depending how long I go, if I run over," she shared ahead of the tour's start. "She goes, 'I’ll take $20. it’s easier to do the math.' I’m like, 'That’s not how you negotiate for yourself.' I’m like, 'You’ll take $25 so it’s easier math.'"
