Playboi Carti Is Featured on Tyler, the Creator’s ‘CHROMAKOPIA’ Vinyl Edition
The vinyls for Tyler, the Creator‘s new album CHROMAKOPIA have already landed in the hands of fans and they’ve discovered a cool easter egg. Not only is there a bonus track entitled “Told Me/Turned Out Fine,” there’s also a version of the ScHoolboy Q and Santigold-assisted “Thought I Was Dead” with Playboi Carti on it.
Carti kicks off his verse by rapping, “Thought I was dead, Thought I was dead/I can’t kick it, I ain’t got no legs/GLS got me dodgin’ all the feds/Know I got a n—a upset.” He then boasts a little bit about his influence as he finishes his the verse by spitting, “Still poppin’ my sh—t outside, I ain’t do it for the ‘Gram or the ‘net/Feelin’ like a zombie, I can’t miss/Double R clean, let’s go fishin’/Tryna move like us, them shoes don’t fit.”

So far there are only clips of the song on social media and YouTube, so no word if the bonus cuts on the vinyl will eventually find their way to streaming.
Tyler released his seventh solo album on Monday morning because he’s not the biggest fan of the current industry standard of albums dropping on Fridays at midnight. Tyler wants fans to be able to properly digest a body of work that he’s worked hard on. The Hawthorne, CA rapper gave fans some tips on how to listen to this project on his Instagram Story, saying, “Make sure you listen in full with no expectations, no distractions, no checking text or social media letting others paint your thoughts on sh—t before you get a chance. Thank you.”
