'Pokémon' voice actor Billy Kametz dies from colon cancer at 35: 'Sincere, humble and loving'
Billy Kametz, an actor known for his voice work in anime series and video games, died Thursday from colon cancer. The Pennsylvania native was 35.
Kametz's family revealed his death in an update to his GoFundMe page on Saturday.
"Anyone who has met Billy will tell you he is one of the most sincere, humble and loving people they have ever met. His infectious personality and smile always lit up a room with so much joy and happiness. Billy always left a positive impression on anyone he came in contact with," the family wrote in his obituary. "His love for his family, friends and girlfriend was always most important to him and that love will carry on forever."

Kametz voiced characters in the shows "Pokémon," "Neon Genesis," "Attack on Titan," "The Seven Deadly Sins," "Beasters," "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure" and more. His voice is also behind video game characters in "Marvel Avengers Academy," "Epic Seven" and "The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners."
Outside of voice work, Kametz played Aladdin in Disneyland's "Aladdin Musical Spectacular" for the final year of the show's run.
His family said he "dreamed of becoming an actor since his early childhood."
"His love for his work as an actor and unforgettable voice will continue to entertain fans and always be remembered. Billy was always most gracious towards all of his fans and appreciated the opportunity to do something he loved so much each day," his obituary read.

Kametz told his fans in an Instagram video shared in late April that he was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer.
The actor revealed his plans to move from California back to Pennsylvania and that he was going to take a hiatus from work.
In the video, Kametz also shared that some of his voice work was mid-production and asked that his fans be the "biggest cheerleaders" to whoever replaces him.
Kametz is survived by his parents, William and Cheryl, and his sister, Nikki.
