Poodle Moth unmasked: What Golden Globe nominee showed her vocal chops on ‘The Masked Singer’? [WATCH]

The Season 11 quarter-finals took place on “The Masked Singer” Wednesday, May 8 on “The Final Four Night.” After singing their hearts out for panelists Robin Thicke, Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg, Ken Jeong and Rita Ora, Gumball and Poodle Moth landed in the bottom two and were forced to sing for a spot in the semi-finals. The Gumball prevailed, forcing Poodle Moth to reveal herself as Golden Globe nominee Chrissy Metz (“This is Us”). Watch her unmasking above.

“I still think I’m educating people on me being a singer,” she told host Nick Cannon during her unmasked interview. “It was part of the reason why I wanted to do this show. If I’m going to do it, we’re really going full-throttle. You don’t know how much sweat is in this suit. I said, ‘Let me challenge myself,’ and I’m glad I did. I learned a lot about myself.”

Prior to her performance of “Price Tag” by Jessie J, Poodle Moth revealed, “”I was so disappointed when I lost the Battle Royale. So when the entire panel saved me, I was so grateful. Being saved reminds me of another time in my life when I was saved right when I needed it most. Before my big break, I had no cash, a credit card gaining interest and even had to borrow money for gas. I was afraid of answering my phone, just in case it was the debt collectors, again. Until one time I was this close to ignoring it, but for some reason, something in me picked up. And thank goodness because that call changed everything. I got my big break and, well, the rest is history. Now all these years later I’m here on the most fantastical stage, singing my heart out as the adorable Poodle Moth. And I’ve learned that you can’t put a price tag on fate.”

Poodle Moth was the 13th celebrity act unmasked this season following Kevin Hart as BookSavannah Chrisley as Afghan HoundJoe Bastianich as Spaghetti & Meatballs, Billy Bush as Sir Lion, Sisqo as Lizard, Colton Underwood as Lovebird, DeMarcus Ware as Koala, Charlie Wilson as Ugly Sweater, Kate Flannery as Starfish, Jenifer Lewis as Miss Cleocatra, Corey Feldman as Seal and Ruben Studdard & Clay Aiken as Beets.
