From the Golden Globes to the British Academy of Film and Television Arts Awards, this awards season has given us plenty of red carpet events to fawn over our favorite A-list couples. While we love seeing these dreamy duos dazzling in black-tie attire, we can’t help but think about the stars who decided to forgo date night with their significant others and share the special night with none other than their moms.
The Academy Awards are the most prestigious night in film and one of the most important nights of an actor’s career. With the big night upon us we just couldn’t help but reminisce about the stars who used their plus-one to take their mothers to the star-studded event. Stars including Leonardo DiCaprio, Charlize Theron, and Lin-Manuel Miranda proudly escorted their mothers down the Academy Awards red carpet, proving that moms really are the best accessory. As if that isn’t already the cutest thing ever, they also didn’t shy away from gushing about their moms all night long.
