Popular Italian restaurant along Dixie Corridor, closed for renovations, has reopened
Lynora's Kitchen, the popular Italian restaurant located along the Dixie Corridor in West Palm Beach, has reopened.
You may now take back any of the fist shaking you aimed towards heaven, because like they promised, it was only temporary.
Closing for renovations and upgrades on Aug. 15, the popular restaurant and market, which is part of the West Palm Beach-based Lynora's family of Italian restaurants, actually reopened several days early on Saturday, Sept. 2. This was well ahead of the Sept. 6 or 7 date they had anticipated.
Workers replaced the electric stoves and oven with gas-powered equipment in the kitchen, and added a deep fryer, said Lynora's manager Jamie Brewer.
They also reconfigured the pizza-making area to make it more efficient.
Cranking out up to 200 pizzas a day last season, the adjustments will make getting those delicious pies to hungry mouths that much quicker.

Additionally, they added a second register to expedite the checkout process and make it easier to place orders and to pick up to-go orders.
The exterior also underwent a few changes.
The small, east-facing mural on the side porch has been replaced and the new one incorporates the "Smile, there's wine" image from Lynora's flagship Clematis Street location. The larger mural at Lynora's Kitchen was "refreshed... brightened and livened up."

Now, with the interior rockng and the exterior looking sweet, they've added a few new menu items.
These include house-made pasticcio, fried calamari, chicken Milanese and arancini.
Opened in May 2017, Lynora's Kitchen on South Dixie Highway is the epitome of cool.
The restaurant's design was inspired by a market that owner Angelo Abbenante frequented in Rome's Trastevere neighborhood while on a trip to Italy.
He said he would stop at the market in the bohemian district every day for coffee or pizza during his visit.
Occupying an old gas station, Lynora's along the Dixie Corridor has giant roll-up garage doors, an awning-covered dining area with ceiling fans and wood-fired oven, custom-built in Italy, that can cook pizzas in 90 seconds.
If the South Dixie Lynora's isn't your go-to spot for scratch-made pasta and pizzas, there are several other locations including Jupiter, Palm Beach Gardens, Boca Raton and the downtown West Palm Beach location on Clematis.
