Popular LA-based Ramen shop makes Arizona debut. Here's what's on the menu
Los Angeles-based chain Silverlake Ramen opened its first Arizona location in Tempe at the corner of University Drive and Rural Road.
Silverlake Ramen founders “Chef and Noodleholic” Jitaek and “Ramen Chef from Japan" Thomas Aono opened their first restaurant in the namesake location in 2012 to share their ramen obsession with guests, encouraging them "to boldly slurp away." Jitaek started as a dishwasher in LA, became an executive chef at 24 and tried his hand at opening sushi restaurants before opening Silverlake Ramen with Aono, who trained with a ramen master in Japan for five years.
In addition to the new Arizona location, they have locations in California, Nevada, Utah, Georgia, Washington and Texas.
