Popular “Rock Fore Dough” concert celebrates 20th anniversary
EVANS, Ga (WJBF)- Columbia County will see its share of heavier than usual traffic Tuesday night. That’s because tonight is the 20th Anniversary Rock Fore Dough concert.
The popular event benefits First Tee of Augusta, a non profit that uses golf to teach kids core values which include respect, honesty and integrity.
This year’s headliner is Cole Swindell along with Randy Houser, Tyler Reeve, and local favorite Black Dawg. And of course DJ Rock will keep the party going all night.
“We have a ton of vendors, so we have all kinds of food vendors and we’ve got — this year we have a number of information vendors and clothing vendors. We’ve got all kinds of– kids have inflatables to play on, all the ice creams and fun stuff going on. There’s always music. DJ Rock, so in between sets, he’s spinning tunes, so you’re never kind of just sitting around,” sadi Emily Stevenson, Owner of Gluestick Music.
The Women’s Titleholders golf tournament was considered the ‘Women’s Masters’
Stevenson said she is glad to be a part of Rock Fore Dough and part of raising money for a worthy cause.
“They have in-school programs, they have camps all summer. They have after school programs that, you know, a lot of people just associate it with assisting low income people to have golf. But that’s not always the case. Anybody can sign up. I mean, all kids, they have a fantastic program out there,” she explained.
