Pras Claims He Learned Of Fugees Reunion Tour “Through The Media”
Update: 8:37 a.m. PT (Sept. 6, 2023) – A statement was issued by Pras’s publicist last Saturday (Sept. 2) clarifying his commentary regarding The Fugees reunion. It reads as follows:
“Contrary to TMZ, Pras Michel was well aware of the upcoming Fugees reunion tour. He, Lauryn, and Wyclef have been in communication about this tour since early summer. As this is Ms. Hill’s tour, Pras respectfully deferred any public comment until her team was prepared to make the official announcement. He is thrilled to be reuniting with his Fugees partners and looks forward to celebrating their music with fans across the globe. Any reports claiming Pras was unaware of the tour are patently false.”

Ms. Lauryn Hill is headed on the road with The Fugees as an additional act, however all members may not have been in on the plan. Pras shared that he learned of the fall performances online.
“I ain’t even know this tour was happening until last week to be honest with you,” detailed the 50-year-old to TMZ.
“I heard about it through the media… I’m going, obviously, I just heard about it last week.”
The cross-country trek adds to a busy year for the Brooklyn native. In April, Pras was found guilty on 10 criminal counts in a federal conspiracy trial that prosecutors called a “clandestine foreign influence campaign scheme.”
“I filed motions for mistrial and other motions during the course of the trial. It is Her Honor’s practice take those under submission and to rule on them after all of the evidence is in. I remain enormously confident that this case is not over and that we will ultimately prevail,” shared his lawyer David Kenne.
Ms. Lauryn Hill’s international tour celebrating the 25th anniversary of her acclaimed solo debut The Miseducation Of Lauryn Hill kicks off later this month in Minneapolis. Take a look at the full tour schedule, including which shows include a Fugees reunion, below.
