Prince Harry Has Reportedly Found A 'Father Figure' In This Hollywood Star Amid Rift With King Charles
Prince Harry has reportedly found a "father figure" in a renowned Hollywood music producer, according to sources close to the royal.
The Duke of Sussex has been estranged from his biological father, King Charles III, since he and his wife, Meghan Markle, quit their royal duties to live abroad in 2020.
However, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are now believed to be "desperate" for peace talks with the royal family.
Prince Harry Has Formed A Close Bond With David Foster
According to The Times, Harry has seemingly found a "father figure" in music producer and film composer David Foster.
Foster lives close to Harry and Meghan in their Montecito neighborhood and is often Harry's go-to man for advice.
Furthermore, the 16-time Grammy winner's wife and actress, Katharine McPhee, previously weighed in on their bond, calling it "beautiful" while adding that the pair are very much "like father and son."
"My husband has a really, really beautiful relationship with Harry. They're so cute," she added.
Foster's relationship with the Sussexes has waxed strong since they relocated to the US, and he has been credited for helping them find a place to stay in Canada, which ended up being a luxury $14.1 million rental home in Victoria.
Speaking in 2020, Foster said he was honored to have lent a helping hand to the couple.
"I was just happy through my friend to facilitate what I could for them, and it looked like they had a great rest," he told the Daily Mail at the time. "They are a young modern family. I'm sure they want to balance their commitment to the crown and be a 2020 family."
The Duke's Calls To King Charles Have Gone 'Unanswered'
According to People Magazine, Harry has been unable to reach his father since returning from his February UK visit to see him following the monarch's health diagnosis.
"He gets 'unavailable right now,'" a friend of the duke told the outlet. "His calls go unanswered. He has tried to reach out about the king's health, but those calls go unanswered too."
In May, Harry could not meet with his father during his visit to the UK for the 10th anniversary celebration of the Invictus Games, an international competition he founded for veterans and wounded soldiers.
At the time, it was reported that the king was preoccupied with other matters, which was why a meeting could not be held. However, sources suggest there might have been more to the situation.
Harry had intended to discuss security arrangements for himself and his family, which were downgraded after he stepped down from his senior royal role. The king may have wanted to avoid the conversation, though the Palace has not yet commented on the security issue.
Prince Harry Believes His Father Could Sort Out His Security Issues
Although much time has elapsed since his last trip to the UK, the insider claims that Harry has repeatedly tried to ask his father to intervene.
A royal insider told People that the father-of-two "is frightened and feels the only person who can do anything about it is his father."
The duke seems "determined to protect his own family at all costs." This might be the reason why he has not brought them back to the UK, as he fears that the lack of security would make them vulnerable to a violent attack, potentially incited by the negative press they have received.
In a new ITV documentary, the prince expressed these concerns, stating that "all it takes is one lone actor" for harm to be done to his family.
King Charles Is Open To A 'Truce' With The Duke
Meanwhile, Charles is reportedly willing to forgive Harry after receiving counsel from some spiritual leaders.
According to the Daily Mail, a source said that the monarch received advice from religious leaders, which provided him with "spiritual nourishment" and a willingness to mend the fractured relationship with his youngest son.
"Faith has always been a part of Charles's life and something he's explored, but since becoming king it is playing a more central role," the insider continued. "That reliance on faith and quiet contemplation has become a comfort and asset to him and helps him cope with the role as he adapts to being king."
The source added that Charles still loves Harry and that he remains hopeful of his return.
"He still loves Harry and wants him back for personal reasons – regardless that he and Meghan do not [want to] return to royal life," the source said.
Kate Middleton Allegedly Feels Royals Are Too 'Harsh' With Prince Harry
Harry's estranged sister-in-law Kate Middleton is said to also be willing to sheathe her sword and forgive him and Meghan, with a source explaining that she's "worried sick" about him, per Radar Online.
Kate is reportedly ready to go toe-to-toe with Prince William to forgive Harry as she sees him as a "lost soul" and believes he's "emotionally broken." The pair used to be very close before his 2018 wedding to the former "Suits" actress but quickly fell out in the face of their strained ties with the royal family.
"Kate is worried sick about Harry and willing to risk the wrath of her husband and the Firm to do what she believes is the right thing," a royal source shared. "She [is] pushing for forgiveness and worries the royals are being too harsh."
