Prince Harry’s UK comeback will be without Meghan Markle, prominent royal author predicts
Prince Harry will one day permanently return to the UK — but it will be without his wife, Meghan Markle, a prominent royal biographer has sensationally claimed.
Hugo Vickers, a well-established royal author who co-wrote Prince Edward, the Duke of Kent’s, 2022 memoir “A Royal Life,” has suggested that Harry, 39, will make a defiant return to home soil one day.
Describing the Duke of Sussex as an “angry” person who is “petrified” of losing his wife, Vickers was asked for his prediction on where the Sussexes will be in 20 years.
“I think he’ll come home,” he told the Sun, moving his hands in separate directions.
“I think he’ll come home and if he comes home, we must be very nice to him because he won’t particularly want to. He’s quite angry, I think.”
Vickers, who has penned over 30 royal books throughout his career, suggested that King Charles would welcome his estranged son back into the royal fold.
“Yes, I do,” he said. “The king has left the door wide open for him to do that and he was doing such a good job before and … he looked so happy.”
“Usually, you’re happy when you’re doing your duty and you’re doing it for other people and you’re putting things into life,” he went on.
“If you’re taking things out of life, at the risk of getting a lot of hate mail, I personally think that he looks like he’s petrified of losing her [Meghan] and looks slightly petrified of her.”
The Post has reached out to reps for the Sussexes for comment.
Harry and the “Suits” alum, 42, quit royal life in 2020 and moved across the pond to start afresh.
Since then, they’ve been estranged from the senior members of the Firm and have only returned to London a handful of times.
Markle, for her part, was last in London for Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral in September 2022 — proving that the feud between both camps is still ongoing.
According to former royal butler Grant Harrold, who worked for the monarch, 75, for seven years, “too much damage” has been done for things to go back to how they were.
In fact, Harrold believes the only way the Sussexes can get let back into the royal fold is if Harry releases a public apology for all the hurt that was caused by his protocol-shattering memoir, “Spare.”
