Prince William & Kate Middleton Might Be Having the Same Staffing Issues as Harry & Meghan
It’s hard to find help when you are a member of the royal family. While there has been quite a fuss over Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s staff roster, it seems that Prince William and Kate Middleton are in a similar situation. Finding the perfect person to handle their very difficult needs is turning out to be a challenging request.
The Prince and Princess of Wales are looking for a senior communications officer at Kensington Palace. The Linkedin job posting was placed on Sept. 3 and there are currently over 200 applicants for the position. The full-time role will require a commitment to working at the palace as well as “flexibility… to work from and travel to other Royal Residences,” “regular travel across the UK,” and “occasional travel overseas.” The position will likely be a crucial one for the Wales family after they were criticized for their handling of Kate’s health issues earlier this year.

Kate was reportedly less-than-thrilled that she was thrown under the bus for the Photoshop issue while enduring the endless headlines of her whereabouts. “First it was that she ‘vanished’ — and it was assumed that her marriage was on the rocks because rumors of his cheating just wouldn’t die,” an In Touch Weekly source said, “Which of course was the last thing Kate needed around the time she got her devastating diagnosis, and no one could blame her for being irritated with William for not shielding her from the scrutiny or finding a way to put an end to the humiliating gossip that he had been unfaithful.”
Prince William and Kate had planned on changing the structure of their family operations by hiring a CEO to run their royal business, but it seems that a communications officer is the key person they needed all along. The Sussexes are also going through a transition after Prince Harry recently parted ways with chief of staff Josh Kettler. According to People, he had been “hired on a trial basis,” but the men realized that “it wasn’t the right fit” for either of them. The royal life isn’t for everyone!
William and Kate will be looking ahead to 2025 to make it a smoother and happier time after the challenges that 2024 brought them. Hopefully, the right communications person will get them back on track after too many PR missteps brought them the attention they didn’t want.
