Prince William and Kate Middleton Shake Things Up on Their Royal Team
Prince William and Princess Kate's team appears to be on the brink of a big shake-up.
In what's been a rather hectic year for the royal couple and their team, expanding the size of their staff–specifically in the communications department–seems to be top of mind as they're getting ready to welcome a new hire.
The full-time correspondence specialist role was advertised on LinkedIn by the Household of TRH The Prince and Princess of Wales, with responsibilities described as "Managing the Household's correspondence process, providing suggestions for improvements, and providing timely, well-written, bespoke responses to letters received in relation to TRH subject areas."
"This role will have exposure to many different and interesting portfolio areas and will liaise with external organisations, local authorities, government and charities," that require a "high-level of confidentiality," per the official description.
The listing explained that while "The role is predominantly based at Kensington Palace," "there will be a requirement to travel to other Royal Households within the U.K. to fulfill the duties."
The person hired will also "work closely with the Private Secretaries Office, the in-house Communications and Visits & Events teams and the general Correspondence team at Buckingham Palace," in addition to collaborating "with the Gifts & Inventory and Records & Archives teams."
Applications for the prestigious position have since closed after the palace, presumably, received more than enough responses from prospective employees. But that also means the royals are likely making some headway in their interview process and may even be on their way to introducing a new team member very soon.
