Quando Rondo Arrested By FBI In Georgia For Federal Drug Charges

Quando Rondo has been arrested by the Federal Bureau of Investigations, WJCL 22 reports. The rapper, né Tyquian Bowman, was detained in Georgia and taken into custody on federal drug charges. Savannah Police pulled over Bowman on Friday (Dec. 8).

Law enforcement expressed that the artist was riding passenger in the vehicle and was the only person hauled off to jail. Officers stated that the man was arrested without incident. Rolling Stone reports that Bowman is expected to appear in court during the week of Sunday (Dec. 17).

Bowman’s FBI arrest arrives in the aftermath of the rapper being indicted on drug and gang charges. Quando was accused of serving a “manager role” in the Rollin’ 60s gang. His role directly violates the Street Gang Terrorism and Prevention Act. Additionally, the 24-year-old man is charged with illegal use of contact for using a phone to distribute marijuana and buy hydrocodone pills.

The Associated Press reported that a Georgia judge ruled that the “ABG” entertainer was prohibited from driving. Bowman was also legally subjected to drug testing to stay out of jail.

In July, Bowman crashed a car weeks after being released from jail on a $100,000 bond. Authorities expressed that emergency responders administered Narcan to Bowman. Narcan is widely known as a drug used to remedy opioid overdoses. Prosecutors explained that Bowman exhibited overdose symptoms at the scene of the crash.

Elsewhere, Tsu Surf was sentenced to five years in prison. According to The Daily Voice, the battle rapper pleaded guilty to conspiracy and possession of handguns and ammunition by a convicted felon.

U.S. District Judge Susan D. Wigenton handed him the sentence in November. The judge also said the artist would be fined $15,000 and serve three years of supervised release.

He previously faced up to three decades in prison. However, the rapper, né Rahjon Cox, struck a deal with the government for a shorter sentence. The New Jersey artist was included with 42 members of the Rollin 10s Neighborhood Crips hit under New Jersey’s Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations statute. He was one of 10 members to face federal charges in the round-up.
