Quavo’s ‘Takeover’ Racing Movie, a Live-Action and CGI Action Thriller With Billy Zane, Drops First Clip (EXCLUSIVE)
Street takeovers rule in the first look at rapper Quavo’s new movie “Takeover.”
The film also stars Billy Zane, Lamonica Garrett, Serayah and Martin Sensmeier. Zane plays Gamal Akopyan, the leader of an international heist ring, who uses street takeovers to get away with mass robberies. When his latest heist goes awry, he must do whatever it takes to escape the Atlanta takeover scene alive – with nine figures worth of diamonds.

In a statement to Variety, Quavo said, “‘Takeover’ is unlike anything you’ve seen before and will blow minds. This film brings a whole new vibe that’s about to change the game, and I’m really hyped to share it with my fans.”
“Takeover” has wrapped production in Atlanta, a car culture hub. The film aims to underscore the fascination and controversy surrounding takeovers, also known as sideshows.
Trioscope, the production company behind Netflix’s “The Liberator,” is known for its enhanced hybrid animation. “Takeover” utilized the company’s updated Trioscope SEE technology that elevates moving image stylization with enhanced stability, precision and multi-layer custom inputs. The film seamlessly blends live-action with CGI to create stunning narratives as seen in the first look.
