Queen Camilla Embraces Peacock Print for Primary School Visit in London
Queen Camilla embraced pattern and jewel tones with her recent royal engagement in London on Tuesday. The queen consort attended the opening of the 50th Coronation Library at Moreland Primary School, where she also read to students.
For the occasion, Queen Camilla wore a long-sleeve midi dress in a vibrant blue shade with a peacock pattern. The dress also featured a collar, with blue lining on the edges of the collar and down the center of the dress’ bodice. The British royal family member kept her accessories simple, opting for a delicate necklace, bracelets and earrings. The queen consort completed the look with a pair of taupe-colored kitten heels with a coordinating purse.

This isn’t the first time Queen Camilla opted for a peacock-print dress. For the “Poetry Together” recital and tea party at Fielding Primary School event in August 2023, Queen Camilla fashioned a green peacock-print silk dress courtesy of Bombshell London.
Similar to her look on Tuesday, Queen Camilla kept her accessories for the August 2023 outing, with an understated necklace and simple gold earrings.
On April 30, the queen consort joined King Charles III for his first public appearance since disclosing his cancer diagnosis last February. For the occasion, Queen Camilla wore a leopard print Fiona Clare dress with sheer dark tights and chocolate brown heels. She also wore the Ceinture Watch by Cartier and fashioned jewelry by Kiki McDonough and Van Cleef & Arpels.
Often fashioning classic silhouettes for royal engagements, Queen Camilla showcases her style through sartorial details. Whether it’s the pattern of her dress or embellishments added to a custom design, the queen consort’s personality and approach to fashion seem to consistently evoke a traditional royal sensibility with contemporary elements.
