Queen Camilla Honored on Her 77th Birthday With Personal Portrait Taken By Kate Middleton
Kate Middleton has delighted royal fans by sharing a personal portrait she once took of Queen Camilla to celebrate the queen consort's birthday.
The wife of King Charles marked her 77th birthday on Wednesday, July 17, and the official X account of the Prince and Princess of Wales uploaded a beautiful photograph of the then-Duchess of Cornwall sitting on a wooden garden bench to commemorate the occasion, "Wishing Her Majesty a very Happy Birthday!"
The snapshot, previously featured on the cover of an edition of Country Life magazine guest-edited by Camilla, found the royal draped in a pale blue button-up dress with a floral pattern and a matching solid-colored cardigan. She smiled brightly at the camera as she rested one hand over her lap and the other over the handle of a basket holding flowers and gardening tools.
Ultimately, the photograph went on to earn the coveted Cover of the Year title at the PPA Awards in 2022, which the publication likened to "the 'Oscars' of the magazine world."
Fans were thrilled to see the sweet snapshot resurface, with one replying, "I LOVE this photo of the Queen. Thank you for sharing again!"
"Such a delightful picture [taken] by the Princess of Wales," another called it.
"What an absolutely beautiful photo this is!" a third fan wrote in response. "HRH Catherine the Princess of Wales, is an extremely talented photographer."
The Royal Family at large also wished Camilla "a very Happy Birthday today" alongside a photo of the queen standing on a white-washed wooden deck in a royal blue overcoat, almost perfectly matching the shade of the body of water in the background.
That snapshot appeared to be taken yesterday during a trip to the island of Guernsey, where she was serenaded by a group of schoolchildren.
