Queen Camilla Repurposes Anna Valentine Dress for Royal Hosting Engagement in London
Queen Camilla hosted the “Maiden” Yachting Crew after their Global Ocean Race win at Clarence House on Monday in London. The queen consort posed for photos with members of the team for the event.
For the occasion, Queen Camilla repurposed a dress she wore for a royal engagement in October 2022. The queen consort wore an Anna Valentine navy dress with stitched detailing along the shoulders, bodice and neckline. She also wore a pair of Russell & Bromley knee-high suede boots.

As for her accessories, Queen Camilla wore jewelry by Kiki McDonough, Van Cleef & Arpels and wore the Britannia Brooch. The British royal family member has worn the Anna Valentine dress in the past. In October 2022, Queen Camilla wore the frock during her visit to a maternity unit at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in London.
Precautions amid the COVID-19 pandemic were still in place at the time of Queen Camilla’s visit, with the queen consort wearing a protective face mask. Much like the dress from her recent hosting engagement, dark hues and navy blues are colors the royal has played with for other official royal events as of late.
During her April 22 visit to The Royal Lancers Regiment in Catterick, England, the queen consort fashioned a dress with military inspiration. Queen Camilla wore a Fiona Clare dress modeled off the Lancers uniform, featuring chain mail embellishments on the shoulders of the navy blue dress, a red collar and gold buttons. She also wore dark suede boots by Russell & Bromley and fashioned a red hat by Philip Treacy.
Among the sentimental pieces she wore for her April 22 engagement, Queen Camilla wore the regimental brooch that once belonged to Queen Elizabeth II. She often wears pieces of the late monarch’s personal jewelry collection to pay homage to Queen Elizabeth II. On this intimate occasion, however, Queen Camilla opted to repurpose a dress ideal for her daytime event.
