Queen Camilla Repurposes Fiona Clare Dress for Buckingham Palace Reception
Queen Camilla fashioned a look by one of her go-to designers while hosting the 90th anniversary commemoration of Brooke at Buckingham Palace in London on Thursday. The international animal welfare charity is dedicated to improving the lives of working horses, donkeys and mules.
For the occasion, the queen consort fashioned a patterned blue dress by Fiona Clare. The long-sleeve midi dress featured an ornate pattern with white and black contrasting with varied shades of blue. Queen Camilla kept her accessories simple, opting for a delicate necklace, bracelets and pearl earrings.

The British royal family member has worn the dress for a previous royal engagement.
In July 2022, the then-Duchess of Cornwall joined then-Prince Charles for a visit to BBC Wales’ new headquarters in Cardiff. The royal styled her look in a similar fashion to Thursday’s hosting event, with delicate jewelry and taupe-colored heels, making the dress the centerpiece of her curated sartorial ensemble.
Fiona Clare is a favorite designer of Queen Camilla, who regularly wears pieces from the London dressmaker and designer. On Wednesday, the queen consort wore another of Fiona Clare’s designs for the first Buckingham Palace Garden Party of 2024.
The black-and-white, long-sleeve midi dress featured ornate details, including four black, pin-striped lines running along the bodice and pleated skirt of the dress. Queen Camilla continued her black-and-white dressing for the Garden Party look, wearing a hat by Philip Treacy.
Along with fashioning several Fiona Clare designs, Queen Camilla often wears and repurposes looks by Anna Valentine, another of the queen consort’s go-to designers.
The queen consort wore a navy midi dress by Anna Valentine with stitched detailing along the shoulders, bodice and neckline while hosting the “Maiden” Yachting Crew after their Global Ocean Race win at Clarence House on April 29. She previously fashioned the frock in October 2022 during a visit to a maternity unit at Chelsea and Westminster hospital in London.
