Queen Camilla Rewears Fiona Clare Sapphire Dress With Sentimental Brooch During Royal Air Force Visit

Queen Camilla repurposed a dress from one of her go-to designers during a royal engagement on Friday, visiting the Royal Air Force station located near Leeming in Northallerton, England.

For the occasion, Queen Camilla opted for a sapphire midi dress designed by Fiona Clare. The frock featured a front zip closure and an ornate design that added texture to the bodice, with a small scalloping effect on the round neckline.

The repurposed look included slightly exaggerated shoulders and long sleeves, with a skirt featuring soft, elegant pleating for a flowing finish. Queen Camilla paired the dress with neutral-toned heels.

The queen consort previously wore this dress on the final day of the Emperor and Empress of Japan’s state visit to the United Kingdom. Queen Camilla and her husband King Charles III bid farewell to Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako on June 27 at Buckingham Palace.

For her visit with RAF Leeming, however, Queen Camilla added a sentimental touch. The queen consort wore the RAF brooch, which she received from the Royal Air Force stationed in Halton. Queen Camilla is an Honorary Air Commodore of RAF Halton and RAF Leeming.

Queen Camilla recently showed off another piece from her brooch collection. On Thursday, the queen consort visited the English National Ballet at the Mulryan Centre for Dance in London to celebrate the company’s 75th season. Pinned to her Anna Valentine blue dress was a ballerina brooch designed by Van Cleef & Arpels, the jewelry company behind a few pieces of Queen Camilla’s regularly-worn accessories.

Though Queen Camilla has her own collection of jewelry pieces and brooches, the royal regularly wears such accessories she inherited from the late Queen Elizabeth II. The queen consort often pays homage to the late monarch and mother of King Charles III during particular sentimental occasions, such as a visit to Edinburgh or while attending Royal Ascot.
